To create IMe, my face was photographed in 360 degrees using photogrammetry. The capture session was conducted with a camera equipped with polarized lenses, which reduced reflections and enhanced the precision of facial detail collection. The resulting images were then assembled into a high-definition 3D model, creating an accurate and hyper-realistic reproduction of my face.
This model was subsequently imported into Unreal Engine, where, through integration with the MetaHuman plugin, a virtual avatar identical to me was developed.
The avatar was ultimately used in an interactive performance, where it was animated in real time within a virtual environment. Movement control was achieved through motion capture.
What happens to your identity when the digital world can replicate every feature, every gesture? Are you still "you," or do you become something else?
What does it mean to "be yourself" today, when identical versions of you inhabit the digital world?
What is it like to come face to face with your own digital twin? Is it like looking in a mirror, or meeting a stranger?
